History

The church was built in 1891. In the spring of 1997, the current minister decided to resign his position and the church was handed over to the people. This left the church with a total number of 8 in attendance.

The people of the church decided to invite ministers in and until one was found, Pastor Reuben Egolf would act as interim Pastor. It had been a year and there was not any interest from any ministers in taking the church. Pastor Reuben decided to change the name of the church from Tri-State Holiness to Mt. Calvary Tabernacle and assumed the role of Pastor. Since this time, the church has grown abundantly in congregational size and the Glory is all given to God.

Tenets of Faith
WE BELIEVE:
  1. The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
  2. There is one God, eternally existent by three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
  3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
  4. In the blessed hope-the rapture of the Church, preceding the seven-year period of tribulation.
  5. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
  6. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
  7. In water baptism by immersion.
  8. The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
  9. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to all believers who earnestly ask for it.
  10. In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enable to live a holy life.
  11. In the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
