History
The church was built in 1891. In the spring of 1997, the current minister decided to resign his position and the church was handed over to the people. This left the church with a total number of 8 in attendance.
The people of the church decided to invite ministers in and until one was found, Pastor Reuben Egolf would act as interim Pastor. It had been a year and there was not any interest from any ministers in taking the church. Pastor Reuben decided to change the name of the church from Tri-State Holiness to Mt. Calvary Tabernacle and assumed the role of Pastor. Since this time, the church has grown abundantly in congregational size and the church has been remodeled, the Glory is all given to God. Stop by sometime and visit we will welcome you on in!
Pastor Reuben and his wife Laci are founders of “Experience Life Today” program which is now a television ministry being piloted since 2009.
The broadcast can be found on cable and Dish network stations "WJAL-68" every Thursday @ 11:30 a.m., and in Perry and Snyder Counties every Sunday @ 9:30 p.m., on channels W14DF-D12 & W16CO-D12.
